Accelerating Materials Development for a Clean-Energy Future

Today the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and the National Economic Council joined the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for an event on the White House complex to celebrate the launch of the Energy Materials Network. DOE’s Energy Materials Network (EMN) will accelerate innovation around the clean-energy industry’s most pressing materials challenges.

 

Launch of Energy Materials Network

Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Department of Energy today announced the launch of its Energy Materials Network (EMN), a new National Laboratory-led initiative that will give American entrepreneurs and manufacturers a leg up in the global race for clean energy. Leveraging $40 million in federal funding, EMN will focus on tackling one of the major barriers to widespread commercialization of clean energy technologies

 

BTRIC Participates in CaloriCool: Consortium to Develop Alternative Refrigerants

Oak Ridge National Laboratory: Omar Abdelaziz and his team will participate in a new consortium named CaloriCool™ that will develop alternative forms of refrigeration technologies, specifically caloric cooling. This new institute, led by Ames Laboratory, is one of four consortia that make up DOE’s Energy Materials Network recently announced at the White House.
